We should focus on what we can provide with comparative advantage:
- Data center / Internet servers free from censorship (Sealand did something similar to this) - Support for passing ships: We could settle something like a casino/brothel/drug seller/supply warehouse for passing merchant ships - Offshore banking (more complicated, but doable) - Tax Heaven for ship registration and the like - Tourism: Its fucking Polinesia, if we cant attract tourists we are basically failing at life

I also like the idea of brothels, we should import desperate Japanese chicks and Models from Ukraine. Also make the age of consent 14 so I can fuck all the teenage pussy I've missed out on in life.

Part of the appeal of the charity strategy is that large countries via the UN are pouring literally billions into "climate change" aid. We can make pretty much any infrastructure project sound like it's to deal with climate change e.g. - Need power? "solar, wind and tidal power reduces fossil fuel consumption". - Need sanitation? "more extreme weather events make disease outbreaks more frequent" - Need land? "rising sea levels are making the land uninhabitable. We need to protect what's left (and "reclaim" what's been lost)" - Need to set up agriculture? "extreme weather events have made historical agriculture nonviable"
Take before photos of flooded houses on a king tide and after photos of laughing kids doing backflips off of a sea wall, job done.
There's plenty of time to develop actual income-producing industry, and the more self-sufficient we are the less pressure we put on ourselves to generate income from external sources.
Also, is there a way to make this forum a little less public?
