Yes, but to where? The pacific garbage patch? Henderson Island is my current plan, most people agree that it should be somewhere in the Pacific. What you really need is the biggest sailboat you can afford. It's the only way.

We're not going on a luxurious cruise here, we'll take what we can get. How much did yours cost by the way? Because we don't have millions to spend here.

You would not believe me if I told you how cheap I can get boats like this here for. It's the engines and gear, etc that costs big money. You can buy boats at auction from marinas when the owners become delinquent on their moorage payments. So you can do good business getting boats cheap and then fix and sell them. Or you can salvage one that sank or beached. So it'll have a few scratches big deal. Also ex-racing sailboats are cheap, they are empty inside to save weight and go fast.

We don't need more than one boat and it's best to have everybody in one place so nobody gets left behind, we're not all experienced sailors here.

I appreciate your enthusiasm but no can do. What you should do is join a yacht club and get experience volunteering as crew, or get work in the marine trades. Anyhow I've got another year's worth of work on it at least at the rate I'm going. Sigh....

Two reasons I can think of-first of all a convoy is safer. If one gets into trouble then there's help. With radio everybody can stick together. Secondly-I did a fishing season in Alaska. Gillnetting. Bristol bay. Three guys one boat...how long do you think it was before we wanted to kill each other? Shit I still hate those fuckers!!!!!! By the way Pitcairn is taken and there is NO PARKING. Anyhow I was thinking. You are from the UK. You can travel and work in Canada correct? OK so you get your buddies and come to Vancouver BC. I will let you use my 21' sailboat and you can go to North Vancouver Island and take over. Nobody lives there to give a damn except maybe a bear or two. You'll have to get here early, boat needs paint and some minor work but as it it's complete. You'll need a GPS, radar and related gear.

Perhaps a convoy is the way to go, but 2-3 boats, not one to every man. We've already discussed Canada, taking illegal weapons to an island surrounded by said country is a bad idea. In regards to parking, that's why I thought an inflatable boat could be used to travel back and fourth from the boat to the island.

Yes, you use a dinghy to get back in forth but Pitcairn doesn't have safe parking, if weather comes up you have to run. You need a crane to sling boats out of the water and onto the hard. You can park a boat on land and live in it too you know. There's be three crew per boat; captain, first mate, autopilot. Official uniform:Bikini

I desire a new land where we are free from the impending doom of the west. This could be it.

Lucky, wish I owned a boat.
I'm sure we'll attract more anons soon and one or two may own a boat.
