Namibia is mostly a desert, how are we going to sustain ourselves? coastal region I mean, where are we going to get any water for growing food and drinking? Do we buy it from the Namibian government?

Do we buy it from the Namibian government? desalinization Desalinization is only effective when its done large scale, like Saudi Arabia does it, yet even they mostly use groundwater because of how electricity consuming it is. They fund it with oil money and electricity, I don't think we can ever get any economics of scale going. We could use the desert sun to boil the water and collect it somehow, but then there is the issue that the water might not be safe to drink, plus this gives an additional burden for this colony to start

Look namibia was a failure (the original one) but if we can get people too seriously put money into it, it could work, that's if we can literally get an army and invade, after all the GOVERNMENT of Namibia said fuck off
