Only problem I have with that is again the ties to another organization which may change it's values in the future. 4chan isn't an organization, it's a community. Even if the gook fucks it up, we'll never change. contributing I don't know what this means. Minor update, ignore.

It is not a community, but a network. Communities are small in number, formed by people who actually know each other, force the members to participate and not only use the benefits of the community and offer support in case of an emergency. Not a single one of these apply to 4chan, making it a network. Networks are large in numbers, made up of people all around the globe with no actual connection and offer anonymity without the need to ever offer anything to the network in order to benefit from it.
