We should probably use very few different models of guns to standardise ammunition. Two sizes of ammunition, a lethal one for rifles (maybe 7.62x39) and something for handguns - let the freedomlanders decide. .If we could only have two it would be .308 Win and .45 ACP. We should have many types of ammo as targets can change. No fucking way we can shoot out and engine in a boat from 600 meters with .308 WIn but .50 BMG will do that no problem and neither of the above will work on small game so .22LR would be best for that task. |

Hi cheekypop, I was the guy that suggested SeaPlane travel.
To attract more /pol/acks to our island, we should use a AirMax SeaMax airplane. If you
look on the internet, you could find one that is the price of a car.
The flaws would be that it could go only so far, it cannot carry a lot of passengers and
we would need enough fuel to travel to the island.
There is airplanes that can do nonstop however those airplanes could be too costly for
the proposed budget.

That was just a suggestion. But no more than 5 different sizes. Having a functioning island militia won't be logistically feasible if everyone has a different gun and different ammunition requirements. Looking at it your way seems best, listing what tasks we need and going from there.
-hunting
-disabling a small boat's engine from a distance
-rifle ammunition designed for quick kills (none of NATO's let's use a weaker ammunition so some of them are injured bullshit)
-small caliber ammunition for semi automatic pistols
anything more you can add?
That's just for small arms anyway.
