On the /pol/ thread it is brought up that land in the North Western states can be bought cheaply and converted into prime living space. What limits to industry would block us?

Islands are easier to hold onto and more remote, limiting the governing nation's options. also stop people going off and doing there own stuff were all in it together in an island also the "capital" we develop will be very ritzy because we'll all be invested in the development of the island meaning a common understandings on the island
