I think something to consider, that will affect the community at large, is personal debt.
The banks will still try and find those that owe them money. Student loans.
How do we propose to deal with this?

By what means? Let me elaborate: Will this community consider applicant's that have personal debt? Would the community be willing to invest in that person? How would we go about paying off the debt? Would we create a business that sells a product to the outside world, giving the community revenue, and helping to pay off these debts? |

That's the problem though, we don't have bankers, police officers, politicians, governors, doctors, electricians, plumbers, the list goes on..
We need a lot of money, millions to be precise and nobody here has any of that.

Well, since renouncing our citizenships' for this colony isn't a wise idea I would say that all people involved pay back their debts before joining up.

Pft. Most of us fools got under 100grand in debt. Not like the banks gunna send some squads down to a remote greek island to collect lol
Id almost argue that if this legitimizes to actually being on an island and constructing it.. we all take out as much goddam debt as the banks will allow to finance the build out phase. First thing our leading caucus should do is draft a non-extradition treaty globally and declare a clearing of individual personal debt as a Nation. Once anything remotely productive starts up we can finance ourselves or go to some shit tier country and get financing through a shady bank.
