Need a general order.... Obviously.... Should keep management and the governement 'smaller'
We need a natural born leader.. but a wise man as CO-Leader..
Some general management depending on what segment of the island their working on.
Basically we need two leaders but one whose not really a 'leader' as much as a sage with advice for said natural born leader. K

I think anarchy is not a big problem with a small enough population. We can have someone who is entrusted with making decisions in emergencies, but most of the time decisions can be made and discussed by everyone.

Each island in the federation has an elected governor, who attends federal council meetings.

Is that just to deal with legal issues related to Pitcairn Islands or for ourselves? If we have much more than a hundred we could do that, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

Yes, we need a secure governmental structure once we start bring more people in and securing more islands. This will not work if it is complete chaos.

At the start it should be based off of who is doing what. EX: Don't piss on the guy leading food production. If each sector of workers has a say in the start we should manage not to kill each other for a while until a leader can be chosen.

Basic corporate structure.
President, Vice President, and a Board of Directors. President and Vice President are elected by the board. Pres, and VP lead the group, where all major decisions are voted on by the board. The board (including Pres and VP) will be kept to an odd number at all times and will expand depending on the size of the colony population. Initial will be 3 people, 20+ will be 5 people, 50+ will be 10 people, ect. The board can over throw the Pres if a vote of 66% is achieved.

I think I like the board Idea better than the island council. But we need to keep things simple.
