-has to have NOBODY it Did I stutter? no that was just a list of the islands to consider, i wasnt saying these were all 100% viable options, i was just looking through some. it helps to get an idea of what we really need in an island.

Can we really afford to be picky?

Greece can't even take care of itself though lol Its like a half step above a failed state. I wouldn't underestimate, the bureaucrats running the EU want a European army. The way things are going Greece will run away from the EU and their denbts. Still I don't think they'd be pleased if we took an island out of their archipelago.

I don't know, why bother finding an island in the middle of Nunavut when there are islands with a better climate that are unclaimed (South Orkneys).

Because James bay is actually around the same latitude as scotland and trees can grow there. The South Orkneys are tundra with average temperatures of 3.5C in summer. Trees will not grow. Most foods will not grow.

I'm slightly starting to lean towards what an anon posted on a recruitment thread a few days back : 'you're a bunch of complete dumbarses, why make a country when we can take one? Who the hell's heard of Equatorial Guinea, Togo or Gambia anyway? They're tiny irrelevant shitholes prone to a joint /k/-/pol/ coup d'etat. All we need is 50 people, a few guns and a plan.' We could do the island thing with the guns and everything for a few years but eventually we need to be on some continents mainland whether we have to take over a shit country or otherwise we can't just be an island micro nation permanently. What do you guys think? this is all still in theory/planning phase by a long shot. As such we may as well discuss all options.

If such a solution was used, I'd quit this thing. I think this kind of approach is going to eventually get us either arrested or killed.
I'm not here to do something unnecessary violent or stupid when we could find a way that wouldn't raise immediate attention from countries. .

Agreed, the land we take must be either desolate or unclaimed. We can't just take a chunk of a country and declare it our own.

Yeah, American-educated people might not have heard of those countries but they still have millions of people and thousands of soldiers.

Yeah, American-educated people might not have heard of those countries but they still have millions of people and thousands of soldiers. What? You're the one suggesting we should invade Canada.
