Yeah, American-educated people might not have heard of those countries but they still have millions of people and thousands of soldiers. What? You're the one suggesting we should invade Canada. I was suggesting legally colonising a rural, unoccupied island and declaring independence

I was suggesting legally colonising a rural, unoccupied island and declaring independence And you think they're going to follow through with that? It's barely an island, Akimiski is only 20Km from Ontario and the waters between them are incredibly shallow. Not to mention it's a protected bird sanctuary and you expect us to walk onto there with illegal firearms and not get arrested? It's only going to get us killed.

But I didn't suggest Akimiski Yes you did. 1. Step up there legally/with permission 2. declaration of independence.jpg 3. sit back and enjoy the watching Quebec start a civil war Can you imagine DUDE WEED LMAO doing anything about us? Any Canadian island is a bad idea, just forget it. This whole thing wont work if we are at the mercy of another country's government.

Guys pls don't invade my country and take one of it's islands, it won't work out well for us (/pol/acks). I was originally going to suggest Henderson, but it seems like it's not worth the trouble with that one, especially since the UN considers it a Heritage site. So what would be a good island? We want to be way off from any big continents, because the closer we are to them the more dependent we are on them. And any island in Eu is out of the question.
I still want Henderson island though ;-;

We should look for the warmest islands.

I'd much rather not freeze to death. We should look for the warmest islands. North Antarctica is pretty much the only place that is officially unclaimed (if you don't count that bullshit "nation" Westarctica), other than that, I see no other option than to go Pacific.

The cold could be to our advantage. I doubt we will have anything approaching second rate healthcare and infections LOVE tropical climate.

I suggest watching this: It'll be hard work and much more expensive, but doable. The plus side of going North Antarctic is that we would be covered under the Antarctic Treaty System, which prevents countries taking military action against us. So we would be safe to start construction from the very beginning.

On the notion of obtain weapons within the EU, why don't you just buy from the middle East and smuggle with the refugees.

I'm not too keen on poisonous evil things in tropical climates either. We would need huge greenhouses to feed ourselves in the tundra. Which isn't impossible. We would need more detailed data before simply deciding we can live there - rainfall, average hours of sunshine

Well now that Mymanmar/Burma is opening up to the west, how about at just rock up on one of there coastal islands and build a trading harbour for Chinese and Indian vessels. Then with the money begin start building a city and lobbying the government for special rights. Become like a Hong Kong.
